This is simply because I see there are more and more these so-called fashionista blogs have come up from days to days. I dont have to name them because they are certainly on your blog list. Oh, and if you dont, congratulations on freeing your mind from the enslavement of today's fashion disasters. but it is probably on your bloglist's bloglist. Its not that hard to find.
Now, how's this related to Marx's phase? Well, you know fashions need money. You can't simply go to bundle shops and ask for a Hana Tajima shawls or whatever it is you are looking for. It is just not right especially for the ladies. And as far as I concern, there are no second-hand shops that make these fancy stuff available on their stores - not even online ones. If there is any, guess what, wearing a used shawl is equivalent to wearing a used boxer. They both touch our 'well-groomed' hair only the thing that matters in this context is which hair. So, I conclude here only those who have money will succeed in setting up these kind of fashionistas blogs.
Up until now, please bear in mind that I have only come up with one rule. If you have money, then you have the access to being a fashionista; hence popularity in blogging. People will like you no matter how ridiculous you look. Don't fuu with me if you say those kind of fashions dont cost a dime cause they sure as hell do. I consider every cents in my wallet as money and I would think many times to spend them. Unless you regard RM39 for a shawl is nothing and is equivalent to buying a Hacks' sweet, then you are damn rich.
Wait, that's not all. I have another strong point. It's about something that runs in our blood and veins, and it is called genes. First of all you have to understand the very concept of gene is it is down-passed from our ancestors to us. We often hear this " ah, you are so beautiful. You must have got that from your mother/grandmother/moyang/monyet/whatever". Unless that particular person is married to some dude who is totally ugly, her offspring will just be as pretty. Otherwise, pretty offspring - Justin Bieber-like kind of cute and Lisa Surihana-kind of beauty.
As what you have expected, yes; If you have beautiful mother, then you are beautiful; hence popularity in blogging. Of course, unless you have horrendous, shrek-looking father.
So, where do the ugly offspring of not-so-pretty mothers go to? Its either they post something out of their mind without displaying any single part of their body, or they don't blog at all. And yeah, the number of this kind of women bloggers is in deficit.
In case you are wondering, this is not one of those "bukan salah ibu mengandung" things because your mother do not blog. You do. In summary,
the pretty gets popular, the not so pretty stays inferior
Oh, the horror
I call this Blogosphere Capitalism Ideology. And before I take my morning bath and go to school, please tell me if anyone finds this photo below beautiful. Seriously, I cant comprehend your taste in fashion. A phrase in Salient Magazine (May 2011) says: artistic design is sure as hell not in this world.
